WASHINGTON Just as millions of people are gaining insurance through Medicaid, the program is poised to make deep cuts in payments to many doctors, prompting some physicians and consumer advocates to warn that the reductions could make it more difficult for Medicaid patients to obtain care.

All predictable.
“the program is poised to make deep cuts in payments to many doctors”
You pretend to pay me and I pretend to server you
The networks that cover the Obamacareayients do not include top rated doctors or hospitals. For instance Children’s Hospitals are not part of any Obamacare network. Expand d Medicaid patients may have to travel quite a distance to find a doctor and hospital in their network. To make matters worse doctors who are in the networks are dropping out when they find out what the reimbursement rate is.
In some states like Colorado, higher payments to Medicaid providers remain in effect.
Basically, the federal government is paying doctors less than the cost of a plumber call - just for seeing their patients.
Obamacare has expanded the rolls of poor and working class people getting medical coverage - but what it has given with one hand it has taken away with the other hand.
Doctors can’t be expected to work for free.
But the Feds are too cheap to compensate them for what delivering quality medical care actually costs.
To all those ‘”less fortunate” who voted for LIBs/DIMs and to illegal alien invaders on medicaid: Bwaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Just exactly what is "antiquated" about charging a separate fee for each service?
I worked for 31 years and was paid a separate paycheck for each month of work. Somehow it worked out alright.
Many of the doctors on the plan have such low ratings you wouldn’t go to them if there was any choice.
also, even if the doctor accepts it, they may never be paid at all because there isn’t any guarantee of payment even when the care was preauthorized
Doctors will eventually become government employees.
If we’re eventually going to move to single payer, fee for service medical care is antiquated, indeed.
My guess is the GOP will be pushing to make it happen.
The Democrats have declared a JIHAD on healthcare.
Patients don’t have the money and doctors better hope they become sick for they’ll be better reimbursed than if the patients stay healthy.
Somehow, the country has no problem with a health care system that pays people to use it rather than to take care of their health.
Its crazy.
My brother in law is a Dr. And has several quick care clinics. Cash only $50 per visit, no insurance , medicaid or medicare accepted. Had an obamacare queen demand he take her state card. He told her unless it came with $50 cash she needed to hit the road as he didn’t have to take the card or deal with her bitching. She left pissing and moaning every step.
For every graduating class receiving their M.D.s, someone graduated dead last.
I’m in favor of a conservative Cloward-Piven.
Eventually the Federal Government will collapse, due to massive debt and uncontrolled spending. Just make sure that state and local governments are there to pick up the pieces and not the Feds and their Armies.
At least there's that. I'll take any crumbs at this point.
“You pretend to pay me and I pretend to server you”
Great line. Just like the old joke about Soviet agriculture
