Berkeley Mayor Theodore Hoskins believes the evidence is clear. He believes the shooting death of 18-year-old Antonio Martin was justified. He says Martin pointed a weapon at a Berkeley officer before the officer fired three shots.
Theyre out here protecting us every day and sometimes it comes to the point where they have to take necessary action, said Hoskins. Thats what occurred.

But the gun was fake. /s
Yeah I saw his statement. Nice to have someone standing up for the police in a justified shooting.
Saw a sign that said, “They can’t kill us all.” Shouldn’t be putting signs like that up.
He said this shooting was different than the Brown shooting.
HOORAY Berkeley Mayor Theodore Hoskins!
Be prepared.
Yet the black racists and their white supporters (including the marxist propaganda media) will ignore the facts and reality.
AGAIN.
Sure was different. This time, the thug DID NOT get to punch the cop or get his hands on the cop’s gun.
Not so fast. He blamed police for the other incidences, and in his interview said his city is different from Ferguson, and could better deal with blacks because the leadership is black.
Sounds racist to me....isn't he saying only blacks have the authority to uphold law and order as applied to blacks?
He said this shooting was different from the Brown shooting.
You my FRiend, have just been treated to a statement by a pretty good local politician, guaranteeing his re-election with at least some portion of the white vote remaining in his town! However, even a commonsensical cynical dirtbag pol like this guy may be overwhelmed by the professional riot cadre run by Obama/Holder/Sharpton.
Merry Christmas.
I have no problem with that.....Send in the Black Panthers to the Hood. Lets see how they do meting out “justice” and law and order.
Well, they're looting and rioting just the same, so I guess not.
The Black leaders, like him, have an enormous power in this situation, in which, I believe, as Mark Levin does, that this is a national situation.
Connect the dots.
Will black leaders use that power, as this man is doing? Or watch these useful idiots pawn around destroying our cities to no personal nor patriotic gain?
See, Ferguson was under going a type of renaissance - new businesses, a thriving downtown area centered around the old train depot, and young families buying and renovating the beautiful old homes along Elizabeth avenue. Of course, that's all gone now and the town will become just another Berkeley in the blighted area that is North County.
Either the dead guy had one of the most unusual hand guns ever made or the writer doesn’t know what he is writing about:
“Belmar revealed the suspects defaced 9 mm gun had five rounds in the chamber and one round in the magazine.”
I’m guessing it was ‘one in the chamber and five in the magazine.”
Did not know that....thanks.
“He blamed police for the other incidences, and in his interview said his city is different from Ferguson, and could better deal with blacks because the leadership is black.”
Yeah, someone ought to take a hard look at all the “BRRC’s” (Black Rat-Run Cities) in the country and get back to him about his definition of “better.” Most, if not all of them run on the “Coleman Young Coinsidenza.”
Belmar revealed the suspects defaced 9 mm gun had five rounds in the chamber and one round in the magazine.
Must be one of those “new” 5-barreled 9mm’s that have one spare round as a backup. Man I just imagine it takes a “trained monkey” to rack the slide on that thing!!
