Politicians from solid red states who voted for the massive $1.1 trillion Cromnibus are coming under considerable pressure from their constituents. Those politicians feeling the heat are in full damage control mode. Some are issuing press releases that conveniently omit relevant information in order to defend their vote, others are being broadsided by constituents at town halls; the rest are avoiding constituents altogether.
One instance of particular note is Rep. Martha Roby of Alabama, who went so far as to place an op-ed that combined several factual omissions, half truths, and straw-man arguments that implied her constituents - while wanting to stop the presidents executive amnesty were too dumb to understand how to use the appropriations process to do so.
Robys patronizing begins right with the title of her piece, What defunding amnesty really means and how we get there. What is implied by the title is that proponents of defunding amnesty dont know what it means or how to accomplish that objective.
The condescending language continues:
Part of the problem here is the way we talk about legislation. Rhetoric can confuse the issue. For instance, look through all the appropriations bills and you wont find money appropriated for amnesty like some are suggesting. There is no line item for Obamas Amnesty Program. Its just not there.

Atrocious, unconscionable, even cowardly.
Weak attempts by RINO’s to rationalize their own philosophical dishonesty are simply beyond the pale. This idiot should be recalled. At minimum, primaried in the next cycle.
It is becoming very dificult to discern any meaningful difference between most republicans and the democratson Big Government issues.
Once these mama grizzlies get in Congress they are impossible to primary.
Martha Roby is particularly bad.

I got a letter from Martha today. Haven’t opened it. I’m SURE it’s full of lame excuses and how I just don’t understand.
We’ll see. The primary challengers are already being vetted. Us local TEAs are outraged, really. She will be run against.
damn and she is my cousin.
Well, I guess the holiday get togethers are going to be a little awkward for your cousin and the rest of your family.
