Yes, he was. But you can’t convince people.
They are ignorant of history.
One has only to do a tiny fragment of research into the Acronym “Nazi” - Part of the larger “NSDAP”.
National Socialist German Worker’s Party.
Facts are stubborn things...
“Lights up crowd” how?
With the pro-muzzie anti Semitic culture in Europe today, this could be taken as a good thing.
The crowd lit up with cheers and applause.
National SOCIALIST. What’s so hard or controversial about that?
It is what it is.

In watching this video, the most telling point is this: the man who selected this video, and thought it so important that he placed it on his blog, was the Republican senatorial candidate from Alaska. The establishment Republicans wanted nothing to do with him, and encouraged Murkowski to run as an independent (flagrantly disregarding their own long-held protocol), and supported that candidacy (and, presumably, turned a blind eye to the less savory methods used in that candidacy). Joe Miller lost, and the establishment Republicans were able to avoid a senator who understands the nature of oppression, and replace him with a senator who conspires in that oppression.
There is no real difference between fascism and socialism, clearly, anymore than there is a real difference between Republican and Democrat. The fascist, the socialist, the Republican (at least the establishment part of it), the Democrat — all exist to bleed the country dry of wealth, to neuter any opposition, and to thrive at the expense of the citizenry.
Understanding that is the real import of this video, at least in modern America.
The communist and the fascist go to a football game. They sit together at the left end of the stadium. The communist takes the seat to the left. Therefore, the fascist becomes “right-wing”.
Outright state ownership and operation, advancing in all fields, are particularly ascendant in the extensive areas of new enterprise opened up during the Nazi rule....virtually all economic enterprise is subject to rigid state control; and it is control which we have seen to be decisive in relation to the instruments of production. Legal forms, even income privileges, are in the end subordinate to de facto control.
Yep, just dripping with Edmund Burke huh?/sarc
Hannan is still part of David Cameron’s “Consevative Party” while Nigel Farage has a clear and consistent message about UK indepdendence from socialism.
Farage advocates the exit of the UK from the EU and his party won the his EU elections with 27 percent of the vote earlier this year, beating the Conservative Party.
I imagine the left had no problem with the Nazis until they turned against Stalin and violated the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.
Good post...thanks
Not an MP, he is an MEP, Member of European Parliament.
This is exactly what I have been reading about as fascism was just another variant of socialism. Basically the fascists were just basically going after the communists for power. But it is all the same ball of wax.

The notion that National Socialism (and Fascism) were “right-wing” was concocted by the Communists. It is preposterous, of course. Hitler and Mussolini were both Marxists. And one would be hard-pressed to find a classroom anywhere in the world where this Communist canard is not taught.
Actually Mr. Hannan is European Parliament Member.
Remember what nation it is whereof ye are.
Watched excellent 1940 film “The Mortal Storm” on TCM over the weekend - early Hollywood picture to take on Hitler before we even got into WWII - one line in the movie hit me particularly, when one of the Nazi youth was lecturing one of his former friends about the rise of the party and what it would mean for Germany - “We will find it necessary to sacrifice the individual for the good of the many” - sounded very much like the kinds of stuff we’ve heard from Obama and his leftwing cronies about the necessity of individuals giving up their interests for the greater good - will history repeat.....
Thank you for posting this! What an excellent video. Pointing out that any governing philosophy that needs and uses lots of coercion is evil basically. And fails.
I often think there are two types of political philosophies (maybe of people, too): Control Freaks and Freedom lovers.
The Tea Party and Libertarians are Freedom Lovers. Everyone else is on the control freak side. Including the eGOP, democrats, and, unfortunately, certain religeous groups and movements. Food for thought.
