Shows me how the left has planted seeds of hate in our young despite our traditions.
Why a Walmart? Why not go to a hospital or old folk’s home and cheer them up with some carols?
Good freaking lord...our country is definitely swirling down the shitter when this type of activity is scorned by so many...INCLUDING FREEPERS...
I was getting out of my car in a Publix parking lot and a woman employee was singing”Joy to the World” to, presumably, a customer a few cars over. Very nice voice and a wonderful treat for all within earshot.
Walmart is a PRIVATE business. It can decide how it wants to run the business. Only if they banned Christmas carols but allowed chants of Allahu Akbar, then there would be a problem for me.
Maybe if they had sung in Chinese...
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. An effort to spread Christmas joy was dampened at the Klamath Falls Walmart Thursday evening. But the Henley High School choir says it was all a misunderstanding and they have no hard feelings.
According to the high school principal, the choir teacher reached out to Walmart days in advance and received permission to sing. But principal Jack Lee said that apparently the manager who gave that permission was not present at the time of the flash mob. Another employee was in charge temporarily. During that time, some children became separated from their parent(s). A Code Adam was announced over the loud speaker, but the singing was overpowering the person-in-charges ability to communicate over the loud speaker that children were missing. That is apparently when the kids were told to leave. Some parents were unhappy with the way the incident unfolded. On cell phone video of the performance, one woman is heard exclaiming that theyre calling law enforcement. The principal says they were shocked but knew there was just a breakdown of communication. Walmart representatives from Arizona were the only people who could speak to Walmarts version of events and could not confirm if law enforcement were going to be called on the choir or to help find the missing kids. (They were found safe moments later).
Lee spoke with the store manager Kelley Cooper today. She apologized for the miscommunication. She welcomed the kids back anytime and Lee said the manager offers groups like this to sing and have cookies with open arms. The school is taking the store up on its offer immediately, as an effort to show there are no hard feelings. Members of the choir will be going by bus to Walmart at 12:40 Friday midday to perform again. Walmart representatives say they believe the situation could have been handled differently.
Christians should simply stop shopping and the celebration of Jesus birth should be a religious observance. This orgy of buying material things is way over the top. Get together with your family, if it isn’t too costly, and let that be the gift. There is no need for adding more debt on the credit card, which sets a terrible example for the next generation.
I see it differently - they never asked and were not invited to carol inside the establishment. They made some wrong assumptions and those who consider this a war on Christians instead of a measured reaction to trespassers is also making a wrong assumption. There are formalities which should be adhered to if one wants to "perform" inside a business establishment.
I can easily see how that situation happened at Wal-Mart...
My and my wife's biggest beef with Wally World is they tend to promote some of the biggest morons currently employed into mid or lower management which tend to make communication almost non-existent
I don’t mind other people having different religious beliefs, even if they adopt our Christian tradition in their own fashion. The problem starts when it becomes a dialectic, and our Christian tradition is suppressed in order to synthesize Christmas into something totally different, even totally opposed to it.
That makes sense. I’ve been to Klamath Falls and this story seems out of place.
People should send out cards observing the birth of Jesus Christ at the time of Tabernacles just to watch heads spin around... :-)
if Sam was still around he would ask them to come back every night till Christmas. sam loved getting donated work.
bert’s analysis.....
Un stated was the lawsuit brought by carolers at the ????? Walmart after an attack by a disgruntled customer harmed two girls that were part of the group. The cost to defend and then settle the law suit brought by one of the girls prompted the general rule against such activity within the stores.
The store has a right to determine if anyone walks around singing in their store.
But would they bow down and kiss bearded savage a$$ if a bunch of towelheads came into the store and did one of their moon god rituals?
If they all went in there with their hand up, the carolers would have been welcomed with open arms.
Thank you for the detailed update/explanation.
Returning my pitchfork to the shed...
