Yes it was a failed attempt to castigate Cruz. GOPe Senators ended up having the whole effort boomerang back at them.
As the article quotes Cruz’s spokeswoman, “of course Harry Reid was going to cram through everything he could in his last moments as majority leader”.
The important thing is that Cruz picked up more GOP Senators in support of his motion than in years past. He is winning slowly but surely.

Yep. I called my RINO Senator this week and let the staffer know what I thought about not voting for the Constitutional point of order. They finally hung up on me.
I won’t go to any link that puts copyright ahead of news.
Get other conservative friends to call him, and see if they are daring to hang up on other people concerning the constitution.
Also, you can write an e-mail saying you were respectful and do not expect to be treated crassly by the Senator’s aides. They need a talking to on how to interact mannerly with the Senator’s voters.
