ABOUT 20 police, half a dozen in riot gear, have descended on the Auburn Tennis Club in Sydney, arresting a man of Middle Eastern appearance.
Moments before the arrest three police vehicles were outside the business premises of Amin Khademi, a former business partner of Sydney siege gunman Haron Monis, in South Granville.

And by riot gear, they mean body armour and helmets, which police don't routinely wear in Sydney but which I think would be the fastest heavy protective gear 'normal' police could access.

He will likely save millions in capitol gains taxation waiting for him in the United States. Wonder i hes’ not having second thoughts. Maybe not, Australia is I believe, a larger continent than North America. Plenty of room to hide safely.

Smaller. Australia is just a little smaller than the 48 contiguous US states - 2.97 million square miles versus 3.12 million square miles - and that's without even considering Canada. But we're a lot more empty. There's a single farm in the outback that is larger than New Jersey, and over 60 farms across the country that are larger than Delaware. Somebody with the money can buy an awful lot of space.
