Sometimes I think about you and your story about your car
that crapped out on you on the day of your big job interview.
Are you still driving it, or have you replaced it by now?
I hope you are doing well, Ern.
It stayed together long enough to get me to a makeup interview. I got the job for that. When I got back home, my brother and I rebuilt the carburetor. It turned out to be the fuel pump.
I went next door and traded it to a mechanic who really wanted it. I traded it for a 93 Ford Explorer (he called it Exploder because he immigrated from Mexico 20 years ago, and his English still isn’t the best).
The Explorer has done me well. I prefer trucks over cars, so I am happy. I don’t have an old car robbing me of $2000 per month.
