California's health insurance exchange said 144,178 people have newly enrolled in Obamacare coverage during the first month of sign ups.

Officials also reported that 216,423 people have joined Medi-Cal, the state's Medicaid program for low-income people, since Nov. 15. That's in addition to the 2.2 million who had already enrolled in 2014 as part of the health-law expansion.

Only in the Gruberment is a failure, like having 200,000 more poor people sign up for medical and 144,000 sign up for Ogrubercare with big subsidies, considered a success. It’s like when the democrats brag about how many new people get food stamps.

144,000? they are probably referring to the people who just visited the obozocare web site in the state. Most see the cost and realize they can't afford it unless they are on 100% government assistance.

Yes, but how many of these “enrolled” will actually pay any kind of premium or take part— once they see what this shiite costs? Not too many, only the medicaid “cost shifters” that will get the subsidy we ALL are paying for for Californication. La Raza here we come! Jerry Brown for-ever.
Mental midgets on our dime. Our rulers.

You must be a young guy. California went into the crapper in the last 25 years. Let that be a lesson to the rest of the country. California disintegrated quickly.

Continued RAT sell out to Insurance Companies for Taxpayer funded Insurance that a large percentage of recipients can’t afford to use, or Doctors will accept. Just a big shell game that the Grubers of the world have swallowed lock stock and barrel. Well accept the GOP-e whom know full well what Obamacare is all about, and are 100 percent for it. It’s ALMOST a shame flight 93 didn’t make it to the Capitol building. I DID SAY ALMOST.

Stay with it. I was there too, seven years ago, and had to make my/our way. The Christian organizations have helped, and are out of the govt. thumb by the so called “law” as it is today. This will pass away— we will fight it away.

www.chministries.org and www.medi-share.org are two examples.

Blessings to you. There is a way together.

Deo Vindice.

We feel your pain. My husband lost his job at the end of October, and we are now on COBRA, even though it’s horribly expensive. We hope he can find a new job soon and will do everything we can to avoid Obamacare.

however, most of the doctors will not accept new Obammy or Medical patients.

one elderly friend has nine doctors (various “specialities”.. this being the way the turf is divided in the quack trade)
and
NONE of them have indicated any willingness to treat these new welfare type patients. None.

The payment rates are mostly Depression level (meaning the First great Depression of the 1930’s, not Obama’s Second Great Depression today)...................and the amount of paperwork and bureaucrappic BS is beyond endurance.

This issue seems to vary considerably by region. Here there seems to be no issue except for Psychiatry, where none are taking new patients at the moment regardless of insurance. Other than that, every single physician and specialist in my clinic system and the hospital itself accepts exchange and Medicaid patients. Company policy. Looks like around 300 providers in the clinics plus however many ER and hospitalists.

Superficial numbers without the underlying details. Typical MSM deception.

It's true. I was actually lucky last year to get through the exchange application process with no hitches...other than a few extra insurance cards sent LOL.

This year, however, the online renewal process has been anything but smooth. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and we're running out of time. Stupid things like it refuses to take my middle initial -- but won't continue without a middle initial. Again requiring my wife's naturalization papers (provided last year) and directs me to a page to upload...but there is nothing about uploads on that page. Sent in a fully completed paper renewal in November -- but no indication it's been processed.

Last year, I had no problem. This year, I had lots of problems. I had to claim that I am no longer incarcerated in order to go through the process. I have never been incarcerated. I just hope this is not going to bite me in the butt in the future.

I start Medicare in a couple months.

I'm hoping that will be much simpler after 40+ years of enrollment experience.

My O-Care policy self-renewed in November.

My income dropped from 2013, but I decided not to report it. I'm just going to pay the extra freight for a few months and avoid 100% of the possible website complications.

Next adventure?

Medicare funding drops by $1 trillion over the next ten years, supposedly because of new “health prevention” programs - in other words, your P.C.P. is going to talk to you each year about things your parents told you when you were an adolescent.

Best solution to the health rationing that has already begun?

Do everything you can to stay healthy, and, when your time is up, hope good luck brings you a quick and dignified death.

Still no progress, I’m getting worried.

Washington HealthPlanFinder Error 3067

I call, they tell me yes, there’s an error.

I ask “Can you fix it?” She says “We can’t fix it”.

I say “What am I supposed to do?”

She says you can call the Washington Health Plan Authority and gives me the number.

I call them.

They say “Due to heavy call volume we are not accepting calls”

OK..
