"Since Vitter is running for governor in Louisiana in 2015—and he’s expected to win easily—there’s talk that Maness may be appointed into his U.S. Senate seat. There are also rumors in Louisiana that he may run against House Majority Whip Steve Scalise after Scalise’s role in passing the cromnibus spending bill that funds President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty through the House of Representatives."

Good to see Cassidy teaming up with Vitter, Cruz and Maness. Hopefully, he'll keep sticking with Cruz in the Senate.

And Vitter will be sticking with Cruz to get elected governor, then Maness can either replace Vitter or the execrable Scalise!

Great news!

I’m wondering if the RINO power elite would’ve been okay with Landrieu keeping that Senate seat.

It's hard to defeat an incumbent. I'd like to see someone take out Scalise, but, I'm hoping Maness goes for the Senate seat. I live a stone's throw from LA, and I've heard rumors that Mary Landrieu may run for Vitter's seat as well. I doubt that she will because her brother wants that seat. Besides, she'll be so entrenched on K Street and Lobbying that she won't bother even coming back to LA. And her loss, in November, pretty well sealed her brother's defeat if he does run for Vitter's seat.
