I’m not concerned at all about what holiday plans of theirs were ruined - for the millstones they’ve tied around American’s necks they can holiday in hell. Cruz needn’t apologize to those traitors.
I imagine his apology was of the sort my mom would give me when I tried to sleep in too late:
“I’m sorry that I interrupted your majesty’s nap”
