As defense attorneys for five alleged Sept. 11 plotters began sharing the Senate Intelligence Committee report on CIA torture with their clients in Guantanamo Bay, a U.S. military prosecutor predicted the findings will make the trial more transparent..

Army Brigadier Gen. Mark Martins, the chief prosecutor, acknowledged that last week’s release of the torture report gives the defense side the advantage of seeing their long-running complaints about torture at CIA detention sites officially documented.

The Senate report said some of the tortured detainees, including Ramzi Binalashibh, suffered mental problems as a result of their treatment.

Oh, Boo-Hoo....

At least someone who has time to read 6,000 pages has a copy. Should provide hours of enjoyment.

Liberals can’t abide the thought that some evil minded jerk bent on killing Americans might “suffer” some harm during the commission of his acts or as a result of same.

Honest to goodness, I am just waiting for someone “official” to finally say that this president is an enemy.

When I heard him say today that the days of large numbers of troops will no longer be in other countries, I honestly thought to myself, “He’s speaking directly to the enemy. He’s letting everyone know that the further decimation of the armed forces is full steam ahead.”

Betcha Obama’s going to allow them to sue.

Oh, and maybe he’ll give it to the five Taliban detainees he released for Bergdahl. I can’t believe none of them were involved in the attack on the school in Pakistan, where 130 children were killed...and one security guard and one teacher, who was doused with gasoline and burned to death in front of his students, who were forced to watch.

Well maybe if one detainee finds out another detainee blabbed after being waterboarded, prison law will rule and we’ll have one fewer detainee...

I find it interesting that no one wants to talk about extraordinary rendition, where it started and what is happening with it today.

The people whining about waterboarding under Bush would be hiding under their beds if they knew what goes on with some of the people we hand over to 3rd parties to gather info.

About now would be a good time to summarily execute them all as spies without further explanation.

From Frontline of all places.

>>FACT: Extraordinary rendition began under the Clinton regime.

Covert extraordinary rendition began as a systematic tactic on September 22, 1995, with the capture of terrorist Abu Talal al-Qasimi in Croatia; he was later transferred to Egypt for execution. The largest pre-9/11 CIA rendition occurred in 1998, when five suspects in Albania and Bulgaria were captured and rendered to Egypt. Two were hanged without trial; all were brutally tortured.<<

There was no torture.

Merely some isolated workplace incidents.
