Mitt Romney has become the acid reflux candidate: He just keeps coming back up.
There has been poll after poll, story after story and now, over the weekend, a “Ready for Romney” website emerged that may or may not be serious. (I am guessing “Masochists for Mitt” was already taken.)
The Mitt boomlet is driven by three major forces:
First, the belief that the potential Republican field for 2016 is so weak — even though you can find more than a dozen reasonably serious candidates in it — that Mitt will rise head and shoulders above it. It’s the Simon and Garfunkel scenario: “A nation turns its lonely eyes to you. (Woo. Woo. Woo.)”

His wife must really be on him. He’s just trying to be a good husband and I guess a good Mormon, if that means doing what your wife tells you to do.
I heard that Ann and his oldest boy were the ones who really pushed him into the race in 2012. She must really want to be First Lady. I can't imagine why; given what's happened to Mrs. Obama the left are going to rip the next Republican first lady to shreds.
Speaking of heart burn. Jeb Bush today announced that he’ll “actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States.”
Thinking about Romney running again induces acid reflux for me.

The difference between Romney and Fred Thompson, is Fred is actually a good guy and believes in the constitutional principles of individual freedom and limited government. Another difference is with Fred, one shot at this to please his wife was enough - MORE than enough. Maybe Romney hasn’t had enough yet.
MR, like Elizabeth Warren, has repeatedly stated over and over that he’s not getting in.
I take him (and her) at their word. It is their supporters who pushing these notions.
Of course, he meant himself but that prophecy is still out there.
Maybe the faithful Mormon, Mitt Romney will continue his quest to grab that brass ring and fulfill that prophecy, seeing as how none of ole Joe's other ramblings have ever happened to come true!
McCain's 2008 campaign was horrible but Romney topped him by a huge margin
I'm tired of being played by the GOPe and Dems whom I am convinced are on the same team. If these two are the candidates, I will write in Ted Cruz.
The man has won a single election in 21 years of running for office, he failed, couldn’t be reelected, and left with 34% approval in 2006.
How does the left and GOPe keep this guy in the role of 800 pound gorilla?
If Mitt Romney is known as the “acid reflux” (properly Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)) candidate, then in all fairness, Jeb Bush is the “irritable bowel syndrome” (IBS) candidate.
