The Allied War Veterans Council of South Boston voted last night to allow a gay veterans group to march in the annual St. Patricks Day Parade, according to Brian Mahoney, the groups commander.
Its awesome. Its outstanding, said Bryan Bishop, founder of OUTVETS, the first openly gay group to be allowed to march in the parade after a two-decade-long controversy. Bishop was credited by Mahoney as having swayed the board.
Bishop told the Herald that when he spoke to the nine-member council last night and gave his pitch, he didnt think it could have gone worse and was shocked when Mahoney told him the result.
I knew I had support in the room, but there were some people who were more concerned about my sexuality than the fact that I was a veteran, Bishop said.
Who are we to judge? Mahoney told the Herald. As their spokesman Bryan Bishop said, Were vets, we fought and died and bled, the same as you.
Its unclear how any other gay groups that want to march might be received. Mahoney said last nights vote was in recognition of military service.
Mahoney said the group will be allowed to carry a blue banner upon which is a pallet of color that some might see as a rainbow.
This conforms to the tenets of the parade, Mahoney said. The parade is devoted to honoring the service of veterans. Its is our aim to honor that service and the history of the Irish Catholics in Boston. Anything that detracts from that is verboten.

Can’t they just be veterans? Do they constantly have to spoil everything? And the other 98% of the country is supposed to say ”we’re ok with it!” “This is really cool!” “Thanks for sharing your perverted lifestyle with my children and me!!!”
The fags already have their own parade.
Must they flaunt their delusions at every possible event? They reduce every event to affirmations of their perversion. This serves to corrupt the children, who shouldn’t even have to know about such evil.
Yet another American tradition ruined for families with children. At least, I wouldn’t take my children to any event where this abomination is presented as “normal”. I’ve seen some of the spectacles these perverts put on in public. My grandkids? No way! Congratulations America! You have developed “tolerance” for anything and everything except The Word of The Almighty.
Were the veterans who were gay prior to Obama’s legalizing them in the military ever granted immunity?
“This serves to corrupt the children...”
And that’s the only reason they’re doing it. Only the most steadfast parents will have children that see Sodomites as extremely depraved and needing salvation. Most young people these days see nothing wrong with homos. Stuff like this is why.
This conforms to the tenets of the parade, Mahoney said. The parade is devoted to honoring the service of veterans. Its is our aim to honor that service and the history of the Irish Catholics in Boston. Anything that detracts from that is verboten.
What a hypocritical statement. They are pushing homosexual agenda and it does detract from honoring the service of veterans. Do the 98.5% of veterans in this parade flaunt their heterosexuality and make it priority for everyone to know?
‘I knew I had support in the room, but there were some people who were more concerned about my sexuality than the fact that I was a veteran, Bishop said.’
They are concerned that you are making your homosexual behavior a priority to flaunt before everyone instead of keeping it to yourself. Heterosexuals do go around flaunting their sexual behaviour. Why should you be allowed to do so?

So that means the gay Irish couple are marching? You know, Michael FitzPatrick and Patrick FitzMichael?

Eff Boston and its parading homos.
“We learn humility from Humiliation”, said Mother Theresa.
Yep. Keep it coming.
I’ve heard the Rock Hudson-specific variant of late, “Roy FitzGerald and Gerald FitzRoy” (the former being Rock’s legal name derived from his stepfather).
Then let them be the only ones in the parade. Everyone else back out. It will be once short parade that no one goes to.
