I would say there are winners and losers with the oil price slide, but ON THE NET, it is positive for most.

Oil’s descent is generally positive for economies and companies, Except for energy companies, the nations that profit from high oil prices and the traders who bet on them, everyone else benefits from cheaper fuel.

The stocks of some energy companies, such as Exxon Mobil, Chevron and BP are falling, But those few companies are insignificant to all the other companies that will benefit and all the stocks that will eventually rise because of those benefits.

And of course, this oil price slide is like a huge TAX REFUND to most tax payers.

I see it as a win-win-win-lose-win-win-win-lose-win-win situation. The wins outweigh the loses. Middle class and working poor helped the most....women and children benefit the most...

That's why Libs will hate it the most.

If they would let capitalism take care of it, the oil companies would be fine. It is called supply and demand. The artificially high oil prices over the last decades have squeezed capitalism to death. Build in a promise to keep oil prices down and demand will quickly increase. Oil companies will not make as much per barrel, but they will be called on to increase volume. The economies of the world will benefit accordingly. It is not complicated, but ‘big oil’ monopolies have screwed things up royally and now all we see are their big crocodile tears.
