The so-called Stormpocalypse did little to wash away the rage or concern or fear or opportunism or whatever it is that's compelling thousands of Bay Area residents to take to the streets as of late. San Francisco police officers have had their scheduled off-days canceled this weekend in anticipation.
The San Francisco Police Department is anticipating a full weekend of protest events, with no fewer than three scheduled for Saturday alone. At 12:15 p.m. tomorrow, police are expecting a "March Against Racist Police Brutality" to convene at Union Square. Within the department, SF Weekly is told, the worry is that marchers will assail the large Christmas Tree.
Complicating matters, at noon a horde of drunken, red-suited revelers are scheduled to begin trickling into Union Square for the yearly SantaCon bacchanal.

I say let the SF cops meet the Anti-Brutality march and start beating the protesters with whips.
When confronted about the behavior afterward: the cops so accused could assert their rights to practice S & M games.
Such a defense would probably work in SF.

Maybe the Mayor can send a few tow truck to Lake Tahoe, collect some white snow, drive it back down here. Let the kids and their parents make snowballs. If the protestors start trying to rain on everybody’s parade, throw a snowball right into their big open mouths!

let them get to the tree and let them cause lots of havoc and destruction and really mess up the town....and don’t fix a thing for several weeks....
Nothing promotes sympathy for your cause like pissing off people who just might be sympathetic to your cause. And here I thought these “activists” were smart college kids. Well they do have all the answers. Trouble is, they don’t understand the questions. They’re just a bunch of useful idiots “cruisin’ for a bruisin’” Whoever’s organizing the protests are bull baiting, ichting for that “Kent State moment”, trying to instigate a cop, or civilian to go apesh!t on one of them and BADA BING! Instant martyrs. Who’s gonna, maybe literally take a bullet for the team?

Seeing as how a few of the protesters managed to get themselves seriously beaten by their fellow protestors, are they going have a March To Protest Violent Protestors? Curious minds want to know.
Wow - lot to worry about. How dare they assail the tree?
On the flip side, if they want to destroy the pretty tree and leave other citizens and businesses alone, I say they put up a few more trees for them.
Hate to say this but I hope for the greater good the losers do assault the Christmas Tree and that incident is transmitted worldwide. The Silent Majority will really turn against the thugs.
