What the congresswoman’s husband experienced is pretty much what poor folks experience. They hold off on care and assume the risk. The commies use this as marketing to implement gov’t controlled schemes.
In a free society, the fact that better income gets you a better life serves as the primary motivator for people to succeed, with the hazards of the poor being a “life lesson” for all to see.
But as you can see here, what happens under socialism is that middle class folks can’t improve their lives because their money is taken away from them to fund the poor, so it doesn’t matter what you do, unless you happen to be someone like Bill Gates.
Socialism imposes an artificial glass ceiling on upward mobility. The more socialism we have the worse it gets.
