I called my rep. today, Kevin Brady R TX and got the run around from his Conroe office. They didn't know his position on a CR. So, I called Kevin Brady's D.C. office and spoke to a guy by the name of Jason.
Ol Jason is the fella that told me a week or so ago that he'd take my info and have someone call me back...no one ever called.
Spoke to him again today. He said he did not know what Kevin Brady's position on the CR was. I stressed that WE want a short term CR then after the 1st of the year and the new republican majority is sworn in, we demand a budget. A budget that is mandated by the constitution.
His response was, “sorry, what did you say?” I started getting pissed but kept my composure and repeated what I'd just said. He could care less. Barely acknowledge me.
Heard on Lance Roberts show this evening that Boehner is attempting to get this 1 Trillion Continuing resolution pushed through before the recess.
Pay attention folks, in this bill there is a provision that would put the American taxpayer on the hook for derivatives by banks in the event of another financial crisis. I don't understand the whole derivatives market, but Lance Roberts is a pretty well known for Street Talk Advisers.
He claims this would guarantee taxpayer bailouts for banks if ever another crisis hits.
I'm pretty done with these damn republicans. We get promises before the election then get stabbed in the back time and again.
I’m sure there’s even worse in this secretive bill.
My point in my email to my R congressman was that Boehner was not doing right by our District, or him, by passing the omnibus with Dem votes instead of a short CR since we would have more leverage in January. And that if Boehner does that my Congressman MUST not vote for him as Speaker in January.
I reminded him of Cantor’s fate.
I’m not good on the phone unfortunately.
