Held by popular demand, "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas" is reaching 100 additional theaters this weekend, far exceeding its planned two-week run.
The latest film from the "Unstoppable" star was originally planned for a limited release in 400 theaters, but support from fans has inspired continued plays of the Christmas film this season. "Saving Christmas" will enter its fourth running week starting this Friday, Dec. 5. Moreover, 100 new theaters will be showing the Cameron-starred film for the first time this weekend.

Kirk Cameron is a great Christian man; I've enjoyed his movies in the past, ie. "Fireproof".
I heard some reviews saying this was the absolute Worst Movie of The Year hands down. When over the top generalizations like that are used, that makes me wonder what they’re really reacting to. Not surprisingly, they come down heavy on any Christian themed movie with a positive message. I’m not saying the movie is great, but given that most the media despise the Christian Church and it’s rules, one should decide on their own.
From a reply on the Christian Post: ‘Saving Christmas’ is now the worst film ever, according to IMDb, with a dismal 1.3 out of 10 score. Keep in mind, the scale starts at 1, not 0. For those who think this is Christian Persecution, ‘God’s Not Dead’ has kept steady at an average ‘5’ rating, TV miniseries ‘The Bible’ has a 7.4, and ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ weighs in at 8.2.
It’s like the folks that insist Plan 9 From Outer Space is the worst movie of all time. Anyone who has ever seen Manos The Hands of Fate knows the truth!
This is hilarious, because the leftist critics bitterly hate it. It actually rate a score of 0% by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, on an estimated budget of $500,000, it has already grossed $2,656,000.
It doesn’t look like a good, well made movie. But I may just buy a ticket or two anyway because of how much the Lib critics hate it.
Atheists and leftists are conducting coordinated campaigns to make the movie look bad. They are even passing back and forth composed sentences to publish on sites like “Rotten Tomatoes” to make it look like people have seen the movie when they haven’t and bring down the ratings.
So who knows how good it is or isn’t; the ratings are totally being manipulated. That is really sad when the leftists are so desperate/mean/immoral to try to destroy a family movie. So don’t pay attention to the reviews at all on this one.
I follow him on Facebook. He’s been promoting it for months.
I’ve seen it. Great information about Christmas you may not have considered as a Believer.
Come on......tell us more!
Manos? Hands of Fate.
He covers the reasons we have some of the celebrations, traditions we do at Christmas and shows how they’re actually rooted in Christianity. Don’t want to give anymore and kill the plot.
I checked the reviews on “Mom’s night out” at Rotten Tomatoes website, and most of the negative ones mentioned that no woman stays home with the kids anymore. Huh? Apparently 400 movies about serial killers are never called unrealistic.
So yes, there was a bias. But alas, these movies are not shown in local theaters, and are B movies, about the level of a Hallmark film or a made for TV movie. God’s not dead was good...as was Mom’s night out. And if you haven’t watched “the encounter” Both one and two, check them on youtube.
There are powerful Hollywood movies with Christian themes, albeit usually hidden and vague, but alas they often are full of profanity and sex so not for children. Bill Murray’s film StVincent comes to mind.
I'd like to see some decent new Christmas movies added to the repertoire. I don't know how many more years I can keep watching "Christmas Story", "Christmas Vacation" and "Home Alone."
Thanks, anyway.
