Aspiring rapper?
Here’s one Al and Jesse can jump on. /s
No need to look up his pic.
What rapper in his right mind is on the streets at 9 in the morning? He was asking for it.
The riots will start any minute now.
... There was no word on a suspect or motive in this shooting ....

I guess Pleasantville is not so Pleasant a Ville? Maybe they should drop the “l”.
Back in the old MTV days, when RAP was first on the scene, it urked me that they would foist this off on kids. The subject matter was disgusting. And for a while there, Blacks ruled the roost in this genre. Heck, they still do.
Around that time I noticed an interesting dynamic with young girls, specifically young White girls.
Blacks being very popular in that genre, these young girls were trying to be hip by copying the styles of the Black rappers.
You would see some very strange shades of lip-stick that would only look good on a Black person, showing up on young girls. It just didn’t have the same effect against White skin.
Nails were another area where styles didn’t necessarily transfer across racial lines.
And then hair styles also came into play.
Some of the strange staged cow-lick type hairstyles where the hair stood on end in front, were directly related to what was viewed on these shows.
After observing all this, I’ve still had some interesting conversations with people who said that none of the bad lyrics or behaviors in these videos would be emulated by young kids.
Ahh... wanna bet.
It’s tragic what the Rap industry foisted off on the Black and White cultures. How many kids have died while some gangsta acted out? But hey, there was money to be made.
prayers up
I have all his CDs....
On the bright side, if he survives he’ll have more “street cred” and will therefore sell more records.

In 2002, Sigel was arrested and charged with a federal weapons charge in West Philadelphia. He would later serve a year in federal prison.
In January 2003, Sigel was arrested after a scuffle broke out where Sigel allegedly punched a 53-year-old man in the face, fracturing his eye socket.
Sigel turned himself in to Philadelphia police on July 3, 2003 and was charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing 6 shots from 9mm handgun at a club door, injuring two people. He was also charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of a criminal instrument. Sigel’s first trial ended in a hung jury. A second trial resulted in a not guilty verdict.
In 2004, Sigel was convicted of federal weapons charges and sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison.
On May 25, 2006, Sigel was shot multiple times during a robbery in Philadelphia. He was able to flee the scene and drive himself to a local hospital. This was one month after being released from prison after serving a brief stint for child support charges.
Sigel was arrested on a drug possession charge while traveling to a concert in New Jersey on August 15, 2009. Police found nearly 50 grams of marijuana in his vehicle.
In 2010, Sigel was charged with three counts of failing to file tax returns on income of over $1 million between 20032005. Sigel pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 25 months in prison. He reported to prison on September 12, 2012.
On August 29, 2012, Sigel was arrested in Philadelphia on drug, weapons, and conspiracy charges after being pulled over by police. Officers found a fully loaded .38-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun inside the vehicle, as well as $4,500 in cash, unlabeled bottle of codeine cough syrup, and various pills.
Sigel began his 24-month sentence for failing to file tax returns at the Federal Detention Center, Philadelphia. Additionally, he was sentenced six to 23 months in county jail for illegal possession of prescription drugs, to be served concurrently with his federal sentence.
Sigel was released from Federal Correctional Institution, Schuylkill August 14, 2014 and was reported to be serving out the remainder of his sentence in a halfway house in Philadelphia.
He appears to be passed the stage of “turning his life around”.
An August 2014 BET article notes, “Friday morning, Sigel’s longtime lawyer, Fortunato N. Perri, confirmed with BET.com that the MC has been transferred to a Philadelphia halfway home, where he’ll serve the remainder of his sentence until early December.”
So apparently, he was only back on the street a couple of days.
Lord love us, what a mess of a city.
Their school system is a nightmare. In recent years the entire Board of Education was removed from office. Seems some were seen leaving the school with wide screen televisions purchased for the school.
Most of the parents who have the means, or the kids with athletic ability, transfer their kids to parochial high schools in the region.
Pleasantville is a little more pleasant now.
