“Still, I suspect there is a saturation point where everyone who wants a firearm has a firearm.”

I think it like any hard asset. There will always be a new/better model, an improvement in technology.

I see integrated suppressors as then next big step. We are finally overcoming the insane attitude from the Roosevelt administration 80 years ago. Remove the stupid federal tax on suppressors, and everyone will want an integrally suppressed rifle for hunting and home defense,

Preventing ordinary people from having gun mufflers never made any sense.

That’s right.

It’s so bad I’ve even stopped WANTING to buy things. Maybe I could afford it; but, it just worries me to spend any money.

Why would anyone buy a SW when there are far better choices?

It's not the same S&W that caved to Clinton.

The M&P pistol line is excellent. I've been a Glock fan since 1995, but 5 years ago I wanted a more natural grip angle. The M&P matches my S&W revolvers. It's a natural choice.

And Glock still has not come out with a small, concealable slimline SA series, like the M&P Shield series.

That's why.

"they caved to klinton"

It was the British owners of S&W at the time that caved to Clinton. The company is back in American hands now and the purchase was led by a S&W manager that was pissed about that as well as other things the British owners F'd up. S&W is one of the highest quality manufacturers of pistols in the US and has been very innovative over the last decade, really cutting into glock sales with their M&P line. I competed with a glock 34 for years until I held a M&P and I will never go back. I don't know what better choices you are referring to, especially if you want to buy American.

For what it is worth, Chuck Hawks does think too highly of S&W: http://www.chuckhawks.com/smith-wesson_dark.htm
