Well, I can certainly sympathize with Steve & Sally Anderson.
It is hard to function when those around you seem to be opposing everything you have spent your life believing in. I too believed I had to leave the state, I had invested 27 years of my life in. I just could not take the way the state and local governments were heading. So we moved on to greener pastures. Biggest difference being, I did not get a feature story written about my move.

Exactly. This is an anecdotal story about two disgruntled old Leftists who are unhappy that they have a Republican governor. Notice that despite the claim that the state is headed to "rock bottom," no evidence is given that the Andersons suffered any personal setbacks of any kind, or that the state as a whole is trending poorly in factors such as unemployment or unfunded liabilities.
