Tucked inside the massive defense policy bill now pending on Capitol Hill is a rewrite of terrorist watch lists, a host of new national park sites and a land deal that American Indians say threatens to destroy ancient burial grounds.

Meanwhile, several tax break bills speeding through Congress renew a controversial credit for wind turbines and end Medicare’s program to pay for penis pumps for senior citizens suffering erectile dysfunction.

If I was some GOP candidate I would advocate a Constitutional amendment to eliminate Lame Duck sessions. Got to luv how Congress keeps creating more National Parks when the Park Service is already having trouble maintaining the existing ones including the most popular sites like Yellowstone.

The Federal monster continues to metastasize. Land grabs, money grabs, jurisdiction grabs...

Other than a few laggards we could have known the victor of nearly every seat on election night. Let’s give them a whole week and have good rules for easy removal in case of recounts and run-offs so the sergeant-at-arms can use physical force to drag Landrieu from the floor. I would even be willing to provide temporary housing for new members so the “need time to find housing” can’t be used.

Do you see what we’re dealing with here? Like I have said before, there are still way too many senile old pharts in congress. Penile pumps for geezers? That’s last century’s technology. Today they have Viagra. They take the pill, get it up, jump in the sack, and then croak from a heart attack because of the exertion. Deal with it.

And “green energy” windmills to generate electricity, taking up valuable, fertile land that could be used to grow crops. And they could never generate enough energy to power even a small city. They’re just government-subsidized bird killers. They’re bad for the ecology, because they kill millions of birds every year. Even endangered ones. And those ancient fools in congress are wasting our tax money on this kind of crap. Crony capitalism at its very worse.

I’m tired of seeing those Pigs On the Hill™ trying, in a quite Bill Clintonian fashion, to stick their junk into every bill that comes along. Enough of that. One thing at a time should be the rule, it’s how we get stuck with so much unnecessary law that gets passed, hidden and unseen until—surprise! It must stop!

Destroying Native Americans’ ancestral burial grounds.....good.

Naming a football team after them.....bad.
