Which it is. Making proof beyond a reasonable doubt very difficult. In fact, in most cases I would say it's impossible. For what other crime do we convict person A on the unsupported testimony of person B?
When a young woman goes off alone with a young man, she is stating in the most eloquent way possible that she trusts him utterly.
There are young men deserving of such trust. Though not particularly young anymore, I was trustworthy then as I am now. Nothing bad would happen to a young lady with me while I was still alive and able to fight.
But how do young ladies know this about random guys they meet in bars, online or at a frat party? Yet they demonstrate by their behavior that they do indeed trust them.
