Yes, you're underpowered. Acceleration doesn't equal power. You're doing little work, quickly. But your car likely isn't even capable of doing lots of work, slowly or at all.

What your light, quick car lacks is torque, which essentially translates into cargo capacity. Sure, it's great if all you do is drive to Starbucks and work and back home in the city, but anything more than that and you need something with more power.
