Senator Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.) suggested that House Republicans are on the verge of breaking their campaign promise to fight President Obamas administrative amnesty, as evidenced by the legislative text currently being circulated.
Sessions said that the proposed language fails to meet [the] test established by Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, who promised earlier this year that the GOP would do everything possible to thwart Obamas executive orders.
The executive amnesty language is substantially weaker than the language the House adopted this summer, and does not reject the central tenets of the Presidents plan: work permits, Social Security and Medicare to 5 million illegal immigrantsreducing wages, jobs and benefits for Americans, Sessions said in the statement expressing his dissatisfaction with the results of a House Republican conference meeting.

To those inclined to worry that using the spending power would backfire on Republicans, Sessions suggested that economic populism would lead to a GOP victory.
Polling shows voters believe that Americans should get preference for available jobs by almost a 10-1 margin, Sessions said. Republicans should not be timid or apologetic, but mount a bold defense of struggling Americans.

Republicans in Congress have surrendered without a fight. Disgusting.
Boehner...McConnell...their surrogates straight lied to the voters face...they knew it...they are no different than Obama...total frauds and sellouts. Infuriating and heads should roll.
Had no doubt they would.
Sen. Sessions is right on the mark.
Boehner, McConnell and all Republicans should fight this turkey’s executive amnesty and stand up for US citizens, not illegal alien invaders.
Burn up the Republican Congressional phone lines in the morning. Don’t call the DC numbers. That’s a waste of time. DC workers answer the phone and most persons residing and working in DC are Liberal. Instead call the Congressman’s local offices back home. They need to know that their districts are not happy with the current and elect choice of Speaker of The House and we want a more Conservative leader in that position.
This is DOA. Sorry to say that but for a number of reasons it will have pitiful attendance. (1) Those most opposed to Obama’s amnesty work and cannot simply go to DC, (2) This is winter, (3) This is at the end of the holiday break with limited and costly travel options, (4) Congress not even in town... I’ll stop rather than pile one.
Recall that Bachmann rushed out in front of the media with a December 3 protest. What happened to that?
No, sadly our first line of action must be by members of Congress. They can shut down Obama’s amnesty by simply including that in any funding. They are equal part of our government and it is time for them to step up and act.
Rolling over and surrendering, rushing out and saying they won’t risk government shutdown, funding Obama’s actions, even if for a few months is dismissing the Constitution and approving Obama’s amnesty.
Did they even show up to the battle field?
You are so right.
Call their offices near your home.
Call them, and call them the next day again, or as soon as another headline comes out.
All this b.s. is trial ballooning, seeing how much they can shrug off.
Boehner may get his vote passed but we have to let our own representatives know that they are toast if he does. We all know it, we can beat these guys in two years.
But you have to keep on them now. We’ve done it before, this is how it works.
Correct
Is it possible? Could it ever be? That we might get a sober Speaker? A man (or woman) who fears God and whose stoic seriousness instils that fear into the hearts of others?
I let him know I'm Conservative first and Republican when the GOP acts Conservative. If not I vote independent. Let him know Boehner's leadership if it can be called such was to begin negotiation of the GOP's Terms Of Surrender to the DEMs agenda before they even made an effort to fight and Boehner as S.O.H. has to go. I also referred him to Jeff Sessions comments in this article.
I called my congresscritter as well good snipe as always you’re leading the fight for liberty.
I’ve called three times in past two days.
Just because these surrender monkey headlines keep coming out.
I have chastised him too for hiding in the backbenches when there was actually a remote chance to bounce Boehner out of the leadership.
Our congressman is a good guy and took a lot of heat for “voting for the govt shutdown” the last time around. It’s these coastal and urban disphits we have to battle against.
