I really don't think these people live on the same planet. Arafart was the last Pali with enough power to make the compromises that would result in a deal. And he turned it down and went to war instead.

Abbas is too weak and Hamas will refuse to do anything other a return to 1949 borders with a "right of return" which would be a death sentence for Israel.
