....the hacker group Anonymous made good on a threat to crash the city's website because of recent laws the city has passed regulating homeless behavior.
Besides the city's website, fortlauderdale.gov, the police department website, flpd.org, also was affected, as was the city's email system.

The law may need to be improved, but Anonymous needs to stay out of it.
This is all the Anons are good for: taking digital crayons to the walls.
Smart money is, the Anons misread the ordinance, and thought it read “you can’t feed homosexuals”. That’s all the Anons would support.
If you remind them that some of those homeless are veterans, they wouldn’t go near it. That’s the kind of douchenozzles they are.
I think the group’s been hijacked by leftist script kiddies. There are much bigger fish to fry than an FTL law regarding the homeless.
The latest Anonymous targets lead me to believe their internal leaders are either in jail or taking a sabbatical from their screens.
With all the tech-savvy that Anonymous apparently has, can’t they think of something better to do with it? Like maybe crashing the IRS website right around taxtime. Now that’s what I call some serious insurrection. Not that I’m condoning it, of course....
