Rumors have abounded for some time about various Republicans challenging Reeves, who is expected to seek re-election.
The talk now is centered around second-term Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann as a potential challenger to Reeves.
When asked about Hosemanns election plans, spokeswoman Pamela Weaver said, he is concentrating on the job he was hired to do and his legislative agenda to create jobs.

Too bad about Childers.
Constitutional conservatives and Tea Party types need to clean house in the Governor’s and Lieutenant Governor’s offices by replacing the occupants with conservatives. This is particularly the case with the corrupt Thad Cochran likely resigning DURING the early stages of his new term to allow the Barbour GOPe types to engineer his replacement with one of their puppets (or, more likely, relatives).

the state auditor ought to be up to his nose in trouble. The state’s Corrections department is so full of corruption that the director is facing 53 federal counts of corruption. Where was the state’s auditor when all the crooked crap was going on. A sheriff had to go to the feds to get something done. And that’s unreal considering the US D O J in it’s current condition
Meanwhile the state lawmakers have gutted the sentencing guidelines to cut down on prisoners, to the point that a offender on parole has to break conditions of parole 4 TIMES to be put back in jail. Crime in the cities in Mississippi is a ridiculous levels and these state senators and congressmen are turning a blind eye to the safety of citizens. Repugnicans have had the state for a while but you’d swear it was a load of demorats. Thanks for nuthin! with as much graft as was going on there ought to be plenty of money to clear the streets.
