Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...when does the bird go in the oven?

Did you sally forth today, on the train?

We had a dusting of snow. This morning was slip and slide all the way to work. I HATE driving in icy conditions.

The bird goes in the oven at about noon - a fresh turkey - 10 minutes per pound - dinner at 5:30.

We're dining at my sister's again this year. My son David and I picked the turkey up at Iager's Farm, where we (my late father and I) have gone since 1974.

I did indeed Sally Forth this morning on the train - a long walk from the track into the Station and to and from Metro - my legs are totally shot, but this has to be doing some good.

"Dia shábháil ar fad anseo!"
This is the Arabic character "nun" – the first letter of the word "Nazarene." I post it as my avatar in solidarity with people of all faiths suffering persecution at the hands of Islam. Many of them are members of the oldest of our Christian Communities, dating from the days of the Apostles. They endure cruel, merciless and unrelenting persecution. They are Orthodox and Catholic, Protestant and Evangelical, Coptic, Pentecostal, and Baptist. To the persecutors they, and we, are all "Nazarenes."
