I wouldn’t be surprised if she retired in the next few days in order to give Obama and the Dem senate a chance to replace her before the GOP takes over next year. That way the abrupt retirement could be chalked up to “health issues” and not the real reason which is optimizing the chances of putting another hard left judge on the bench.

Julianne Malveaux

Whoa, that's a name I haven't heard in a while! Is she still around? (off I go to investigate)

if the GOPe with control of both houses doesn’t grow a set of titanium gonads next year, it will never happen.

As I recall the from the last time the Republicans gained control of both houses of congress the only thing the GOP learned to do is spend money like Democrats.

The only difference next year would be that there is a Socialist Democrat in the White House instead of a fellow Republican.

It may make a difference but I doubt it since the Republicans that have been in office have shown nothing but cowardice behavior in standing up to this president.

Thanks - yeah, been reading up.

She’s a smart woman, overall — but was absolutely marinated in racial “crap” since birth. A shame.

Please God, let Ruth live until President Cruz is in office.

And then let her retire from the USSC and live happily ever after.

Just refuse to allow another SC judge to be appointed for 2 years and 2 months. When you have the Senate you can control the process. Dig dirt on anyone that comes up and find a true Constitutionalist.

he’s a big fan of international law. In 2016, we can trade her for two gavels and three new gowns. She can take her Ruth Bussey outfits with her.

“If a Republican president replaces Ginsburg, conservatives will have six votes on the Court,”

That’s a big “if”.

If the Pubbies had any balls they would reject EVERY candidate as long as Emporer Stompyfoot is running the show. Sadly, they have no balls.

Just the fact that there will be a Republican Senate for the next two years means that Obama shouldn’t be able to get dillies like Sotomayor and Kagen approved.....
