Mary Landrieu is the clear choice for Senate: Editorial
The Times-Picayune ^ | November 26, 2014 | By The Editorial Board

Mary Landrieu is dedicated to the well being of Louisiana residents. Even her vote for the Affordable Care Act, which is being used to attack her, reflects concern for the hundreds of thousands of her constituents who lack health insurance.

Seniority matters in the Senate. Although Democrats lost control of the chamber in the midterm elections, Sen. Landrieu would be one of the highest-ranking members of the minority party in the next Congress. Her track record demonstrates her ability to work successfully with Republicans on a variety of matters.

Louisiana needs Sen. Landrieu's knowledge, energy and influence in Washington as much as ever.

It shocks me that anyone with even one functioning brain cell would buy or read the TP. The editorial staff are an embarrassment to their purported profession.

Now that the NYT has published Darren Wilson’s address, perhaps they can assign a team to discover Mary Landrieu’s.

Now that's a classic. Comments like this are why I love FR.

The old New Orleans States-Item was a better paper back in the day. The trashy T-P bought it and absorbed it.

Yep. My parents, aunts and uncles all had daily subscriptions to the Item and Sunday-only delivery of the Times-Spittoon (mostly for the Sunday-only ads, inserts and "funny pages").

Mary Landrieu is dedicated to the well being of Louisiana residents.

This is an UNSUPPORTED assertion! I seriously doubt that Mary Landrieu is dedicated to the well being of anybody but herself. She has done little or nothing for the residents of Louisiana, except to hurt their chances for jobs, to increase their cost of health care, and to complicate their lives with insane Democrat policies. Is that not true?

This is Hurricane Katrina Mary.
This is the ‘give me $300M, and i’ll vote to enslave every Louisianan Mary.
This is Mary from dah chawk-lit ci-tee.
This is Mary, that when asked if to apologize to the Louisianan voters, openly laughed at the interviewer.
This is Mary, that, as physically demonstrated, has become addicted to the ‘bacon-wrapped shrimp’ lifestyle of Washington, D.C., where her official record of domicile is, and not in Louisiana.
