'The Royal Navy may ask US squadrons to fly off its new aircraft carrier following delays to its new F35B fighters, BBC Newsnight has learned.
MoD insiders said the US Marine Corps would be offered the use of HMS Queen Elizabeth II for flight operations.

British moslems have no business commanding Americans. The royal navy is not a place that Americans should be forced to depend on in life and death circumstances. They let an Iranian motor boat capture their boarding party within sight of the cruiser.
I assume they will just be driving the Marines around on NATO ops while the Brits run some shakedown cruises. The Marines will still be commanded by a US commander and the competition for that CAG role will be fierce due to the positive OER comments that will come out of a successful tour.
We have our own muzzie in the white hut that is doing grave damage.
Active Duty ping.
Oh, shut up.
You honestly think Muslims run the UK?. Laughable ignorance. Oh and if we talking being humiliated by Iranians, perhaps you aren’t old enough to remember Tehran 1979.
I believe you could add the Poles to that list.
Double rum ration on the Corps’ birthday?
Certainly. Poland is the country of half my heritage. The other half is Canadian.
Polish units have fought beside U.S. and NATO troops from the Gulf War I forward and acquitted themselves admirably.
Not the first time for this either. Look up the “USS Robin” which was the code named bestowed upon HMS Victorious when she operated with the USS Saratoga in the Pacific in the middle of the Pacific war.
Due to the nature and differences of the two carriers, Robin/Victorious opereated an all-fighter airwing with US squadrons embarked. Saratoga carried the attack aircraft, with a 12 fighter CAP embarked.
Yup, the Brit carriers will have pubs.
