Mary Landrieu’s ploy over the pipeline backfired. She said publicly she had the votes and she didn’t. It’s hard to escape the conclusion that Democrats are writing this race off. Still, Cassidy needs to do more than win the December 6 runoff. He needs to win by a landslide so as to send a message to D.C.

I see a bit of irony here in that Obama could have signed on to the pipeline and used some George Soros money to train inner city youths for welding, machine operation, heavy equipment operation and computer tech and put 10,000 or more to work making $75,000 (or more) a year. But his ideology won't let him.

Cassidy will win. The Tea Party, his opponent Maness, and Palin are all united behind him. Plus the Dims threw Landrieu overboard.

She had YEARS to lobby for it. She was a good little liberal and kept quiet. Karma is a Landrieu.
