Love the poster. So, if the science is settled, why would there be a need to continue pumping billions of dollars in to more(on) research? How about we fix the non-problem instead. Guess john gruber's right. There's a lot of stupid folks walking loose on the street. Has one of them even asked for an explanation of past glaciation and subsequent warming cycles where humans didn't even exist? Crickets...........

The science is ONLY settled if the meme is what the Democrats want. Period.

When you funnel a bunch of cash into a liberal cause, it becomes easier for liberals to redirect that money to their pet political projects.

Plus it provides high paying jobs to liberals.

“Climate Research” is a giant political sinkhole where government money can be laundered into the pockets of corrupt politicians. It’s made millionaires and multimillionaires out of thousands of them.

The so called scientist should be asked if they believe in it with absolute certainty. If if not how certain are they in percentage. Something that they have to deal in every day.

Nature is never precise (or nice and linear). And worst of all our feeble attempts to model it and then predict are only ball park. To be able to predict an event tomorrow is difficult. Being able to predict and event 10 years from now is absolutely impossible.

This fact is never mentioned.

Issues in modeling a large system like the world climate.

1. precision of the original data. And how precise does it have to be in order for the predicted results to be accurate.

2. Initial conditions. How are they chosen.

3. How precise do the computer models have to be. Nature is not easy to model and assumptions and approximations have to be made. How these assumptions affect the results.

The money is being spent to advance the politics, which has to do with controlling energy use and users, towards some non-existent Utopian end.

Climate scientists are paid up front with grants to prove or pretend global warming exists. There is no option for disproving anthropogenic global warming. That makes climate scientists, including the ones who work for private employers who get grants, welfare recipients, another leftist demographic that has to be kept on the plantation.

Practically every university science department, and every alternative energy scheme, every government agency related to science, is dependent upon global warming funds, and required to perpetrate the mass hysteria. It would be total chaos should the funding get turned off.

Check out Joe Bastardi’s Saturdfay summary from this weekend over at Weathebell Analytics. He destroys the global warming cultists.

The opening sentence answers the question. The gooberments need the research to scare the sheep to accept massive new taxes to fill gooberment bank vaults so tgey can keep on spending.

Goodbye family wage jobs. Of course, this is Oregon where many more will soon be too doped up to notice.

Jordan Cove LNG in Coos Bay could quickly become one of the largest greenhouse gas emitters in Oregon

The science behind the global warming/climate change shakedown-money racket-power grab is settled. Nine out of ten scientists, their grant providers/financial providers/government officials, and entrenched business interests all agree that they can bilk stupid people of the world out of trillions of dollars through sheer manipulation of emotions about things that they really don't understand about macro atmospheric systems.

The Science is Settled

That's where everybody has gone wrong.

They've been saying, "The Seance is Settled," all these years.

They have consulted the Ouija board, the Goracles, and the astrophantasmagorical emanations and confirmed that glowbull warming is real.

The political science is settled.

The empirical science disagrees.
