I don't need a license or a background check to worship as I choose...or to refrain from worshiping,for that matter.I don't need a license to invoke,or refrain from invoking,my 5th Amendment rights regarding self incrimination.Yet I need a license *and* a background check....

Before 9/11 the largest mass murder in New York State was the at Happy Lands social club in the Bronx. Seventy eight people were murdered with two gallons of gasoline. Should we have a waiting period to purchase gas containers, or back ground checks?

I checked and the murderer there is up for parole next March.

None of the plethora of anti gun legislation has stopped one person who is bent on mass murder.

At least if there were one honest person with a gun at the scene of a mass shooting, he may have a chance to to stop the shooter before he has done a lot of damage.
