Roughly one million undocumented immigrants in California qualify for President Obama’s executive action of deferred deportation that he announced on Thursday. Of those 40% will be eligible for the states free Medi-Cal health services, while the remaining will be ineligible under the program’s income requirements.
Medi-Cal is the state’s name for Medicaid, a federal health services program for people who have low income. According to KQED News, the newly protected illegal immigrants do not qualify for other benefits of the Affordable Care Act and are not eligible for subsidies on the Covered California exchange.
“They’ll be in the same situation as DACA,” said Gabrielle Lessard, a health policy attorney with the Los Angeles office of the National Immigration Law Center. Lessard was referring to a 2012 executive action by the president known as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. DACA granted deferred deportation to children born in America from parents who were in the country illegally.

They all get free health care at any ER already. They won’t bother with the paperwork with he new freebies. Why bother when you can arrive at any ER and get your runny nose looked at without any hassles?

I moved out of that dump around 2005. The Modesto Bee had earlier published an article about the number of hospitals in the valley that had been forced to eliminate their ERs for the sole reason that messycans were bringing their brats with runny noses to the ER as their primary care provider. They gave false names, addresses, and wouldn't pay a dime.
No question about it.
Governor Moonbeam has been clear in the recent past that he welcomes illegals, too. So incoming governor Abbott needs to get with the governors of Arizona and New Mexico and put out fliers, commercials, etc advertising that illegals will be given a free bus ride to Cali, where the benefits are free, free, free-let the sympathetic Cali liberals support them, instead of pushing it off on the rest of us...
What is to stop anyone from establishing multiple IDs? The possibilities for criminal activity are enormous.
No matter, under this administration, we are all criminals now.
Note that there is no mention of registering with Citizenship and Immigration Services.
