There is no “powerless opposition party”; it’s a Uniparty with liberal (GOP-e) and radical left (Democrat) divisions. Why else would the liberal division attack the Tea Party incessantly, especially when said Tea Party is responsible for both “shellackings” of the past four years? Talk about biting the hand that feeds.
