I, Mrs. Child (aka "She Who Must Be Obeyed"), our kid, my brother, my step sister, several of my wife's female friends all have CCDW. And several more of her friends are in the process of getting them.
Note that in Kentucky it is against the law for the state to give its list of licensees to the feds or anyone else. But my instructor said 4 years ago that the feds were trying to get the names from the state. The federales don't give a damn about the law.

Our sheriff's office is handing out permits like it's going out of style, they are buried. Kentucky legislature made a requirement that the permit process had to be completed in less than 90 days. The wife's took less than 45 days after she took the class.

My gut feeling is that CCDW and gun ownership in general is snowballing.

Remember this, believe it, and be willing to live it:
"If every Jewish and anti-nazi family in Germany had owned a Mauser rifle and twenty rounds of ammunition and the will to use it, Adolf Hitler would be a little-known footnote to the history of the Weimar Republic."

Georgia recognizes Utah CC license, but not Ohio. So, being a Buckeye who travels to Florida on vacations, the only way to legally carry concealed the entire trip is to get the Utah CC license to go with the Ohio CC license.

You said: “That leaves no chance for a CA resident to obtain a Utah permit. Unless you are connected, your chance of getting a permit in CA is slight less than Zero.”

San Bernardino county is processing about 80 to 90 per month. Kern county is similar. Some counties in CA are almost SHALL issue. LA county... no so much.
