I see this as Cosby used the theory that he was taking them each under his wings, as their mentor. Young people can be so trusting. His relaxation pills were his own Spanish fly brew. Back then, people did all sorts of things and figured it would never come back to their lives. Nowadays, everyone can learn much about people lives with research and social media etc..
I use to help volunteer, through my home, finances, to young girls and boys who were runaways. Many of them especially the boys were being violated by a man in their family as were the girls so, many gave up and ran away from their circumstances but kept the secret for a long time. Many didn’t even understand they were being maligned. Much therapy and counseling was about the only method to help reach them.
Cosby had control. He was the instigator in harming these young girls back then. Personally, I think the media covered for him for many years. Media formed a narrative that he was a great man. Now, millions cannot even phantom he could do this.
