Not sure. But my mom works in the social services field, so many of her clients qualify for the free cell phones. They consistently turn down the free phone as the phone& plan they already have is much better. I can attest to that from what I have seen. We were in such dire straits a few years ago I swallowed by pride and went to the our local food shelf (decided after a humiliating experience that we will eat grass before going back). While waiting with all the other “needy” people I noticed that almost every single person was online on their smart phone. Good grief.

The new Republican majority in the House and Senate should take back these delegated powers. However, I don’t see McConnell and Boehner leading this charge just as I don’t see them bringing fiscal integrity back to the budget process.

Please remember, we are dealing with the Uniparty. Remember and don't forget.

“I am pretty sure that the constitution states that all revenue bills must originate in the House. That pretty much precludes delegation of that power to another branch of government.”

You are correct. However, the FCC has been assessing fees on telephone, cell phone, and cable bills for years. The money goes to fund Obamaphones, free internet and cable TV service for the poor, and other telecommunications activity the executive branch considers important. Congress and the courts have done nothing to stop this usurpation of Congress’s taxing authority.

What have they done with all the books? They’re paid for.

They aren't Commie Core Compliant. They have good things to say about the founders of this country and the contributions of some white people.

They don't denigrate the space race as a Cold War hostility.

They teach math rather than hobbling kids.
