Last night, Speaker Boehner had the honor of accepting the portrait of Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) into the House collection. Issa has served as the committee's top Republican since 2009. Boehner praised Issa for his stewardship of the committee, particularly his commitment to good government:
Six years ago, I gave Darrell a big job, and he has done it well. You know all the high-profile work, but theres also the less-recognized work he has done to improve public oversight of the government. Hes seen through the DATA Act, the Whistleblower Protection Act, and there are more than 20 good government bills that maybe now well have a chance of passing in the Senate. It can be tedious work, but the House is now considered a model of openness and transparency and Darrell is a big part of the reason why. The whole House and, quite frankly, the country owes Chairman Issa a debt of gratitude." - See more at: http://www.speaker.gov/photo/job-well-done#sthash.pI8EANFl.dpuf
Behold the dying gasps of the Republic. Hanging portraits of each other.
?!? What self-serving crap!
I must have missed the SATIRE warning. Or was it BARF ALERT?
EXEMPT Boeher, takes time from cleaning the rump
of the obvious Impostor, to praise EXEMPT Issa who
covered up Fast&Furious, and IRS (over two Commissioners),
and the NSA, and more and more and more for
the obvious Impostor.
Meanwhile, the EXEMPT lived under “LAWS”
they passed only for others than themselves, their
own families and their Staff.
How special is that?
Actually, I don’t think Boehner has the ability to find his butt with both hands and the lights on ...
Our tax dollars at work. Painting pictures of pols while Obamacare and inflation ravage the nation.
Mutual admiration society...
Democracy United Mutual Bloviation and Admiration Society.... I like the acronym better for them.
Better than mine, no doubt.
(rewarding each other for doing THEIR part in turning America into a morally/financially bankrupt 3rd world sh thole)
How frugal feudal of them.
Careful, Boehner...it might be painted in watercolors.
$18T in debt and counting.
