Why are these people not in school or working??
Or am I to infer this is a paying job, inquiring minds would like to know.
Words of wisdom from Nancy Staudt, dean of Wash U Law School, in last Friday’s Post-Disgrace:
“As the community awaits the grand jurys decision on whether to indict Darren Wilson, the police officer involved in the tragic shooting of Michael Brown, we at Washington University School of Law are actively engaged in ways to help our community.
“As Washington University Chancellor Mark Wrighton has noted, the tragedy has highlighted the problems of racism, health disparities and uneven access to quality education, legal support and economic opportunity.
“Building on our law schools longstanding tradition of public service, our faculty, staff and students are playing an important role in both providing legal services to those in need and offering a legal context for the many underlying issues. Regardless of the outcomes that emerge from the grand jury and the Department of Justice investigations, we at Washington University believe that Ferguson has highlighted important systemic challenges throughout our urban core that must be addressed. Our universitys leadership also believes that faculty, students and staff have the opportunity to become better and stronger through an active and thoughtful response while fostering societal reform.”
I think that they’re either getting class credit, or volunteer credit from any social (community service) organizations they belong to.
Thanks. Fits right in with what I know about the place. I wish universities weren’t bastions of liberalism, but sadly, they are.
Just let them lay there for as LONG as they want. With this weather I would guess an hour or two on any type of pavement, under the current circumstances, would take its toll.
With any luck they’ll still be there in the spring. Slightly worse for the wear but still there even if only stains on the roadway.
I sometimes find dead deer on my property. I usually let nature take its course ... the carcass will stink for three or four days ... it’s completely gone in a couple of weeks.
