I think it may not be a fear of going through doors, but a fear of walking on that hardwood floor. One of my friends has a dog with this issue. He’ll walk along just fine on the area rugs and the carpets, but begins strange walking behaviors like seen in this video when he crosses sections of the hardwood floor without rugs.
