Dear President Obama,
You’ve been a great friend for the last six years and, to express our appreciation, we’d like to acknowledge some of your many helpful actions:
1) In 2009, our presidential election results were so dubious that millions of brave, pro-democracy protesters risked their lives to demonstrate throughout our country. When our Basij paramilitary force brutalized them, you kept your response irrelevantly mild for the sake of “engaging” us. That surely helped Iranians understand the risks of protesting our “free” election of 2012 (involving our eight handpicked candidates). It was indeed a very orderly rubberstamp.
2) After eight years of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, we KNEW you’d fall for the smiles of his successor, President Hassan Rouhani! Human rights abuses have actually worsened under his rule and his polished charm only makes him better at duping the world into acquiescing to our nukes, so we LOVE how you’ve overlooked these facts.
3) You’ve been unilaterally weakening the sanctions against us by simply not enforcing them (which reassures us that you’re desperate to avoid any real confrontation).
4) You’ve threatened to thwart any Congressional attempt to limit your nuclear generosity by simply lifting sanctions without Congressional approval. Good stuff!
5) You isolated Israel on the issue of how close we are to a nuclear capability – we love how your estimates are so much laxer than theirs are!

Wrong. You are conflating two totally different Islamic regimes. The Paks are relatively sane from our point of view, The ruling elite in Iran are not sane from any point of view, except their own.
The Paks know that India would flatten them in a nuclear exchange and do not want to die. The Paks consider nuclear weapons only as a last resort against Hindi aggression.
The ruling Iranians do not care if they die or how many of their citizens perish. All that perish are martyrs and will go to Paradise. The 12ver sect, like the ISIS Sunnis, consider death better than life, and work to that end, only with more fervor. The 12vers are so hated in Iran by ordinary Iranians that the have said repeatedly that they are willing to die if that would mean the end of the 12vers.
Read some of the interviews Ruhollah Khomeini gave after assuming power in 1979. In those interviews, he makes clear his insane beliefs and how he intends to achieve them, specifically through the use of nuclear weapons. Their ultimate goal, as I have said is, in Western terns, the extinction of the human race. There used to be a poster here on FR, Alan, who was an Iranian, that railed against them and what they ultimately stood for.

The Pakis would want to die if they can destroy India -- and by the way, "Hindi" is a language, "Hindu" is the religion. There is no such thing as "Hindu aggression" -- every single indo-Pak war has started with Pakis starting the war.
Also the pakis have been sponsoring and training terrorists since the 80s and they created the Taliban and kept Osama safe from the USA
The ruling Iranis as in the small clique around the Ayatollah may not care, but the fact is that mosque attendance in Iran is dropping and most Iranis want closer ties with the west -- in cntrast, most Pakis on the streets want Americans dead
