Walker ousts Parnell in Alaska gubernatorial race

WE live out on the Yukon, 4 miles from Canada. If Walker attempts tax increases, he will be out the door and he knows it. He won't get the chance to make any positive improvements. He has to rule as a conservative and also make changes that benefit all Alaskans. Palin ruled as a populist, fought the Repubs as much as Dems and the people just luved her to death; she really accomplished good things. I've trusted Plain's judgment since she lowered prop taxes in MatSu with a small sales tax and then put the rest of council back in their place when they tried to keep both taxes. Palin's word is good as gold.

ASOG, I couldn't ever even contemplate leaving Alaska over politics; and I live where it gets minus 70 for a couple weeks every January. You'll never find more freedom, less taxation, better hunting, or more scenic Country than up here. Walker ain't going to make Alaska another New York State.

Sarah was treated like a child by big oil when she was I nstalled in the Governorship. She would not do what they wanted done. She could not be bribed, intimidated nor smoosed, but mostly she was a girl who told them to quit sitting on their unused oil leases. She told them to drill or loose those leases they had been holding for years. They laughed at her until she took them to court, which ruled in her favor. They had to drill and start paying for the oil they were extracting from Alaska. The payments included a yearly fee to each Alaskan household. She also threw corrupt politicians in jail, including crooked GOP pols, for taking bribes from big oil. That’s partly why GOP elites hate her so. She let the chips fall where they may.

When Parnell tried to undo what she worked so hard to accomplish, she refused to sell out and sent a big message to all the Roves and RINOs from Anchorage, Alaska to Arlington, VIrginia: I will not tolerate GOP phonies nor GOP Cronyism if I have any power.

God bless Sarah. God protect Americans from her enemies, foreign and domestic. Long live the Republic.

So she sold out to a Democrat light and a Democrat? Sorry, it’s petty politics and that is all. I met her and talked to her, she had principles at one time. Fame a fortune has gone to her head. How on God’s green earth can she possibly support a squish and Rat ticket otherwise?

Too bad your tunnel vision keeps you from seeing the real sellout here—Parnell. Sarah hasn’t endorsed the more liberal guy, which is what Parnell is. Walker is and always has been a Republican AND is the conservative in this. Parnell stabbed Sarah in the back after she helped him become the Governor. She picked him for her Lt Gov.

Further, the GOP owes her BIGTIME. Before she was picked for his Veep running mate, McCain couldn’t fill a phone booth venue. So he had to appear everywhere Sarah did because she drew a huge crowd everywhere she went.

She was rewarded by the GOP elite with leaked, made-up stories designed to destroy her popularity, which succeeded to a significant degree.

Now, a sick feeling is sinking into these Rovian RINOs’ queasy stomachs: Sarah is a force of nature to be respected and feared.

It’s better in politics to be respected than loved.

Nope. I see a squish and a democRAT running policy in Alaska. Walker OWES the Rats big time. Governors set social policy too. cohabitating with a Rat causes diseases. Our most innocent will suffer dearly.
