The Obama administration told federal immigration lawyers to release illegal immigrants with “old” drunken-driving convictions and those found guilty of stealing other people’s identities, according to a lawsuit filed by one of the lawyers at the center of the operation.

Patricia M. Vroom, a top attorney for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Arizona, filed a 67-page discrimination complaint that details repeated battles with agency higher-ups who told her to close cases and not deport people whom President Obama deemed low-priority

I would have expected the illegal aliens to be deported whether they committed crimes or not.

Silly me. tom

Quote from a person who posted an earlier message here: The schools have no choice when it comes to providing K-12 education. SCOTUS made that mandatory with Plyler vs Doe in 1982. Here in Fairfax County, Virginia we pay $104 million a year for ESOL instruction for 31,000 students.

*******

My post: That 1982 Supreme Court ruling is the reason we need Constitutional amendments like the following to try to control illegal immigration:

1. "School attendance: Only citizens, legal residents, those with special student visas can attend elementary, high school, and colleges in the United States."

2. "One parent must be a citizen before a newborn child is given automatic citizenship."

3. Felony: We must finally get very serious and declare that crossing the border illegally is a felony. It sounds mean to call it a felony, but we must do it, if we will ever have any chance of controlling our borders. Having the same illegals crossing our borders over and over is wrong, wrong, and wrong.

Illegal immigrant parents come to the United States for the wonderful benefits that their children can receive, like a quality education and great health care. Can you blame them for making the dangerous, long trip with their young children, or sending their children by themselves with the hope that the United States will automatically let them stay?

I don't understand how a child can illegally cross the southern border one day and automatically be eligible to enroll in public school the next day. That is wrong.

Just got through investigating a household of illegals that we’re using other people’s identies and ruining their credit while driving around drunk and having accidents without a valid drivers license and a fake insurance card. I wish I could say its the exception but it’s pretty common with the illegal immigrant population per my experience. Worked on another case where one woman had 4different SSNs and names she was using and yep she was drawing welfare under all of the different SSNs.

Arizona taxpayers owed $1 billion from illegal immigration

http://www.kvoa.com/news/arizona-taxpayers-owed-1-billion-from-illegal-immigration/

“The cost of illegal immigration has exhausted the Arizona State Treasury. In order to pay for the federal government’s responsibility of securing our national borders and incarcerating individuals who enter the United States illegally and commit crimes, the state has incurred hundreds of millions of dollars of debt to pay these bills,” said Treasurer Dean Martin.

The Arizona budget deficit is $1.5 billion. Arizona spends $1.3 billion a year providing benefits to illegals, educating them, and incarcerating them. And that’s not counting the anchor babies.

This will be pocket change compared to states’ unfunded health care liabilities under the ‘deficit neutral’ plan in DC.

Garroting! Never thought of that. Simple and a lot more cost effective than lamp posts. But you don’t get the “visuals” of these bastards hanging around as “reminders.” OTOH well-placed “lead suppositories” may even be better and they are no longer in short supply and come in a variety of “sizes.” No matter how large the a$$hole, one can always be found that will “fit.”
