BTW, lots of people talk big talk about how big and bad they are. But actually being in an region like I mentioned above, it’s a whole different story.

Ferguson nor St. Louis will come close.

There may be a trigger event in the future, but this won’t be it.

During my 11 years as a FReeper I must have seen hundreds of declarations that Detroit was going to burn over this issue or that. The simple fact is that such things are seldom spontaneous and the agitators have moved on to greener pastures.

About 3 days after the Mike Brown shooting police shot and killed a man in Detroit. Some local agitators showed up to stir things a bit but the locals weren’t interested and it was largely forgotten by the next morning.

I fully expect violence in Ferguson and maybe some minor unrest elsewhere but I really don’t see any reason to believe there will be any large scale widespread violence.
