WalMart has rapidly become ghetto and most of the workers there are ghetto. The US has a huge underclass and it’s on full display at WalMart. I’d rather pay 10% more and not deal with that. There are always few items you don’t need to buy.

I haven't been to Walmart in years. We have a Super center store and I hate the fact you have to walk a mile while battling smelly, rude people to the back of the store to get milk, and walk a mile back to the front to find lines backed up . Too much hassle when I need to be somewhere else.

But the discussion was about the EBT crowd plugging up the aisles at WalMart in Florida.

That became a side issue as someone brought it up. I posted in comment #1 that the issue was the WalMart has earned Billion off of EBT cards, and when their profits went down the article stated it was because of a slight drop in Food Stamp funding.

The issue is not how to "improve" how we give away "free" money to people with their little plastic ATM cards, the issue is that we need to stop this madness.

It is the same issue with these commercials from lawyers, telling people to sue to get "your Social Security Disability benefits. They are yours!"

My wife and I were on the subway the other day, and the Ebonics speaking obese women next to us chattered the whole way:

"Dat my money! Dey bettah gives it to me! Ayes gots a lawyer! I want myes monay!"

I wish I could tell you I was making this up, but I am not.

It’s harder to fleece the makers when it becomes apparent just how many takers they are supporting.

I thought it was family held and the same family owned both companies. I don’t follow the business concerns of either company but enjoy shopping at both.

We would smuggle spicy black bean dip back home every time we went back and visited family. We now have a TJ within an hours drive.

Ordered a large item from Walmart’s online store. It arrived at my door in less than 48 hours. In perfect condition. Impressive.

Since most margarine switched to using soy oil we switched to butter. We also use coconut oil, bacon grease and canola oil. Soy is bad for people with thyroid conditions.

Haven’t confirmed it but I have seen that margarine is one molecule from being plastic.

With cars now much safer and miles driven reduced due to the ongoing Obama Depression, the ambulance chasers need to prospect new lines of business.

Disability/SocSec law is booming.

You are not correct. I am not going to argue with you about your experience. But all beef is not the same. All pork is not the same. I KNOW for a fact...Kroger, COSTCO and Safeway DO have a say in what is bought to be sold at their stores.

You are also not taking into consideration how grades impact quality and flavor. If you think no roll beef tastes as good as certified angus choice...you would be in the minority.

Finally..how the product is cut by meat cutters does impact quality. If you have some untrained hacker cutting product...THAT person can ruin even the best product.

But you go ahead and buy from Wally World...I don’t care...cuz I ‘m neither paying for it or having to cook it. :)

Lots of middle class people shop at Walmart... money matter to them because they earn it...

I did not say all beef is the same. I said it all comes from the same few suppliers. There are grades of beef just like many other kinds of fresh foods and fish.

Comparing a lower grade of beef at one store to a top grade at another is meaningless. Even walmart sells several different grades just like most grocery stores.
