How Mitt Romney's Health-Care Experts Helped Design Obamacare [Gruber Flashback]
Forbes ^ | October 11, 2011 | by Avik Roy

It’s actually old news that Mitt Romney’s health-care experts helped design Obamacare. Jonathan Gruber, the MIT economist who was the architect of both laws, received nearly $400,000 as a consultant to the Obama administration for “technical assistance in evaluating options for national healthcare reform.”

And, as Isikoff notes, while President Obama may not have called Romney, he did call Gruber. Indeed, White House visitor logs show that “senior White House officials had a dozen meetings in 2009 with three [Romney] health-care advisers and experts.” These included Gruber (five); Jon Kingsdale (three), executive director of Massachusetts’ new subsidized insurance exchange; and John McDonough (four), executive director of a Massachusetts advocacy organization.

One of the White House meetings with Gruber was personally chaired by the President in the Oval Office. “The White House wanted to lean a lot on what we’d done in Massachusetts,” said Gruber. “They really wanted to know how we can take that same approach we used in Massachusetts and turn that into a national model.”

Did Obama personally help plan pushing Obamacare on stupid voters and submitting misleading data to CBO?

Someone tell me again how Mitt in power was a better idea than Barry in power. Go ahead. Make that case again in light of this latest fiasco.

I don’t think Mitt hates the U. S. Obola, you can categorically state his world view is that the United States is a pariah nation, and it must be brought down.

I think Romney is a massive liberal, who would do some things Obola wanted to. I don’t think he would try to destroy the U. S. or it’s influence around the world.

Obama most definitely is.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. Who didn’t expect this to be true?

And he’s now passing around PR material contrasting him to Hillary on issues. I do that a lot myself. Most people do. It’s just a thing you do when not running for office...

He lost. Twice. And he’s going for three. If he is the nominee again, don’t vote for him and make him lose again.

Mitt doesn’t hate the US. He just hates pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-borders, small government, constitution defending grassroots American conservatives.

Well his record is a mirror of Obamas. All the same problems, all the same outcomes. It doesn’t really matter if he hates America as Obama hates America if the same result happens. He hates it in his own way.

Yes, he does. Because thats what his disgust for the constitution means. Gun control/gay/crony crap.

All we have to do is run Gruber’s recorded admissions noting he first help create RomneyCare.

Then I’d add Willard’s 47% comments and say what we got wrong was His comments were about Conservatives NOT the gibmedats...

I doubt anyone would run the ads. And nothing the guy does will ever change the RINO wing’s minds anyway. they want his communism as long as they can change the name to something that doesn’t offend the rubes.

I agree with that Jim.

Now I may be wrong, but I don’t think he’s written any books saying he’d be on the Islam side in any conflict with the U. S. I don’t think he’d ask us to view acts of terrorism on U. S. soil as mere work-place violence either.

He wouldn’t have Islamic Brotherhood members as his advisers. I don’t think he would send U. S. arms to terrorist organizations or fund them outright. I don’t think he would try to destroy every alliance we have in favor of new ones with terrorists.

Is he defensible on the issues you raised? Absolutely not. This is the main reason we’re so infuriated with the GOPe, and the RNC.

One can make the case that had mittens won, we would have lost seats in the House and never captured the Senate, and perhaps a few governorships as well.

The pain caused by homobama was necessary in order to educate LIVs, or at least a small minority of them, as well as independents, of the follies of statism.

Let the nightmare of the past 6 years be a teachable moment.

As governor I don’t think he was in a position to fight against Islamic terrorist groups.

Was Romney a go-to guy on the up and up vs Obola?

I finally broke down and voted for him rather than see Obama get another four years.

The Islam issue is what caused me to do it.

Who knows, he could have gone south here too though.

If the GOP did their jobs, the MB advisors would be meaningless.

But that aside, For every MB aide, Romney has a Dem aid that hates America every bit as much Radical liberals blow Americans up regularly. Ayres/Unibomber...shoot people regularly, (all the mass murders) and do their own share of evil every bit as evil that Dems like Romney;s crew always find ways to turn into gun control legislation.

He does not have to be Barry to do the damage of Barry. And looking at what he did to MAss, it is certainly on the scale of damage if you scale it up.
